About this car
Karmann-built open-air version of the air-cooled Type 1, produced in Osnabrück from 1949 to 1980. By 1975 it used a 1600cc flat-four producing 44 hp, and outlived the saloon in key markets, becoming the sole surviving air-cooled Beetle sold new in Germany.
