About this car
Built by Karmann from 1949 to 1980, the classic Beetle Cabriolet shared the standard Beetle's air-cooled rear engine but offered open-top motoring. By 1973 it used the 1600cc flat-four producing around 50 hp, and remained popular in export markets long after the saloon ended.
