The GT40 MkI is the original Le Mans–conquering endurance racer developed jointly by Ford and Lola/Kar-Kraft to defeat Ferrari. Powered by a 4.7-litre V8, it ended Ferrari's dominance at Le Mans in 1966 and remains one of the most significant American racing cars ever built.
