The fifth-generation Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Coupe (W-body platform, 1988–1997) was GM's mid-size personal luxury coupe sold under the Oldsmobile division. Riding on the new front-wheel-drive W-body shared with the Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick Regal, it offered a sleek aerodynamic profile with a distinctive pillarless hardtop-style roofline. The base 3.1L V6 produced around 140 hp, while the optional 3.4L DOHC V6 delivered up to 210 hp in the International Series trim. It was a comfortable, stylishly styled American coupe aimed at the family/personal luxury segment, competing with the Ford Thunderbird and Chrysler products of the era. Affordable and practical, it never achieved sports-car status but remains a clean example of early-1990s American front-wheel-drive design.
