1982 · 🇩🇪 Germany · 45 hp
The Opel Corsa A was introduced in 1982 as Opel's entry-level supermini, sold alongside the Vauxhall Nova in the UK market. Available in 3-door and 5-door hatchback and saloon body styles, it was powered by a range of small petrol and diesel engines from 1.0 to 1.6 litres. The base 1.0L engine produced around 45 hp, with the sporty 1.3 GT/E variant pushing up to 70 hp. By 1987 it had received a mild facelift. Production ran until 1993, with over 1.4 million units sold across Europe. Today, well-preserved examples are modestly collectible among classic car enthusiasts.
