The Mitsubishi Pajero iO (H60 series) is a compact SUV introduced in 1998 as the successor to the Pajero Junior. Built on a ladder-frame chassis, it was offered in both short (3-door) and long (5-door) body styles. The Short variant features a stubby, boxy silhouette that made it popular in urban Japan. Powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine producing around 103 hp, it was available in 2WD and part-time/full-time 4WD configurations. Sold internationally as the Mitsubishi Pinin in Europe and Mitsubishi Pajero Pinin elsewhere, the H60 generation was a practical and affordable mini-SUV that found a modest following but never achieved sporting or collector status.
