The GTV6 introduced Alfa Romeo's new 2.5-litre Busso V6 into the Alfetta-based Tipo 116 coupe, producing 160 hp with a transaxle layout for near-perfect weight balance. It won the European Touring Car Championship in 1982 and remains one of the most driver-focused grand tourers of the 1980s.
