Purpose-built E30 M3 Touring Car race variant campaigned in DTM and other touring car championships from the late 1980s into the early 1990s. Running a high-revving S14 four-cylinder producing around 300 hp, these factory-prepared cars were never street-legal, making surviving examples extraordinarily rare and valuable.
