The BMW M4 (F82) is the high-performance coupe variant of the 4 Series, introduced in 2014 as the successor to the E92 M3. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre S55 inline-six producing 431 hp (317 kW), it replaced the naturally aspirated V8 of its predecessor with forced induction for greater efficiency and torque. The F82 generation was available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox and offered rear-wheel drive only. Competition Package variants (2016 onwards) pushed output to 444 hp with revised suspension and electronics. Acclaimed for its sharp handling balance, the F82 M4 went on to form the basis of the M4 GTS (500 hp, 700 units) and the M4 DTM Champion Edition. It remains a compelling used performance coupe with a strong enthusiast following.
