The E-body sixth-generation Riviera's convertible variant was actually produced by an aftermarket coachbuilder, ASC/American Sunroof Corporation, on behalf of Buick dealers. Built on the front-wheel-drive downsized platform, it used a 4.1L V6 and was offered in very limited numbers through the 1982–1985 model years.
