About this car
The first-generation Cobalt replaced the aging Cavalier as GM's compact offering for North America. Built on the Delta platform, the base model produced 145 hp from a 2.2L Ecotec inline-four. Competent but unremarkable, it was aimed squarely at budget-conscious commuters.
