About this car
The original Ford Transit Mk1, launched in 1965 and built at Langley, Berkshire, replaced the Thames 400E and quickly dominated the British light van market. Powered by a range of four-cylinder and V4 engines up to 65–84 hp, it set the template for the modern panel van.
