About this car
Launched in 1989 on the Range Rover's chassis, the Series 1 Discovery was Land Rover's affordable family off-roader, offered with a 3.5L V8 petrol or 2.5L Tdi diesel. The 1996 facelift brought a five-door option and revised interior before the Series 2 replaced it in 1998.
