About this car
Mercedes-Benz's first truly mass-produced small car, the W136 170 V used a 1.7-litre side-valve four-cylinder producing 38 hp. Its independent all-round suspension was technically advanced for its class. Widely used in pre- and post-war Germany, it became the backbone of Mercedes' postwar civilian revival.
