About this car
The fuel-injected Type 1 Beetle, produced from 1975 to meet US emissions and California smog regulations, replaced the carburetor with Bosch AFC fuel injection. The 1600cc air-cooled flat-four produced modest power but cleaner emissions, marking the Beetle's final evolution before German production ended in 1978.
