The Karmann Ghia Convertible, styled by Ghia and coachbuilt by Karmann on the Beetle platform, offered Italian flair with VW reliability. The cabriolet variant commands a significant premium over the coupe. By 1968 it used the 1500cc flat-four producing around 53 hp.
