About this car
The T3, produced 1979–1992, was the last rear-engined VW Transporter and the first to offer a water-cooled diesel alongside petrol options. Available as minibus, camper, pickup, and panel van, it became the workhorse of 1980s Europe and spawned the rare Syncro 4WD variant.
