The Volvo 66 was a rebadged DAF 66, produced after Volvo acquired DAF's car division in 1975. The DL was the base trim, powered by a 1.1-litre Renault engine with DAF's continuous Variomatic belt-drive transmission — one of the earliest production CVTs in mainstream use.
